GMC International Final in Prague

International Finals of Global Management Challenge took place in Prague on 22nd and 23rd of April.

 

Poland was represented by student team from Wroclaw who won national edition of GMC Poland 2014. SCAM team – Tomasz Łuczak (team leader), Dawid Chudaś, Michal Jakieła and Wojciech Karolewski competed with the best teams from 21 countries.

Semi-final took place on 22nd April. Teams were divided into 4 groups. SCAM was in the group with representatives from: China, Czech Republic, Hong Kong, Portugal and Turkey. In the second group: France, Spain, Qatar, Mexico, Russia and United Arab Emirates. In the third group teams from: India, Kenya, Kuwait, Macau, and Morocco. In the fourth group: Ukraine, Brazil, Slovakia, Estonia, Romania.

The final list of eight best teams was announced the same day. Representatives from: Poland, Russia, India, Macau, Ukraine, Brazil and China competed with each other on the 23rd  at the University of Finance and Administration in Prague. The results were announced during the gala dinner. Eighth place went to Brazil, Poland placed on the 7th position. Third place took the team from Ukraine, second place went to team from Macao. Representatives from Russia won the international finals.

This year the competition on international finals was extremely fierce. Our team in the semi-finals was in a very difficult group. Promotion to the finals was a great achievement and success of our representatives. – says Paulina Mazur,  GMC coordinator in Poland.

Participation in GMC world finals was very emotional for our team. We were preparing for the competition for the last month, analyzing every detail, developing additional strategies and scenarios. We feel a bit unsatisfied  however on the other hand, we went very long way to be on this position.- added SCAM team leader.

Global Management Challenge world finals will be held in April 2016 in Macao. Polish organizer of GMC – BIGRAM would like to invite to participate in the 16th edition of the national edition of GMC, which will begin in October.
