
On 18-20 April 2016 in Macao took place the world finals of the Global Management Challenge, which was attended by the winners of the national editions. It was already the fourth World Finals held in Macao (previously in 1999, 2003 and 2007).
This year’s finals were attended by representatives of 25 countries: Slovakia, China, Hong Kong SAR, Cameroon, India, Kuwait, Qatar, Russia, Spain, Latvia, Romania, Senegal, Greece, Czech Republic, Portugal, Morocco, Macau SAR, Ivory Coast , UAE, Brazil, Kenya, Estonia, Poland, France and Mexico.
The teams competed in four groups. Poland was represented by management team PGE Future from PGE Capital Group in the following line-up: Sławomir Sztrajt, Tomasz Szabluk, Paweł Stawski and Sebastian Maciejewski. Our team has been assigned to group number four and during the five decision cycles competed directly with the companies led by Brazil, Kenya, Estonia, France and Mexico.
After all-day rivalry representatives participated in the meeting Friendship Dinner, during which the results of the semi-final competition were announced. Only eight countries got to the finals, which took place on April 20 – Brazil, China, Czech Republic, Kenya, Latvia, Morocco, Russia and Slovakia. The results of a day’s competition were announced during the final evening ceremony. President of SDG Luis Alves Costa, along with guests of honor handed out diplomas to participants of the Finals. Eighth place went to Kenya’s national team, seventh to Morocco. Team from Czech Republic was sixth and Latvia went before them. Slovakia received diplomas for winning fourth place. Brazil was in third place, China on the second and first place went to the Russian team.
